I know I have said many times that I want to stay up on this blog, and then I go about a year without updating it. Well, lately I have found so many wonderful blogs out there that have inspired me to take back up on using it. I thought I would just start off by updating what has been going on in our lives in the last year!
Heather~ I have been doing online courses with
MState for the past year. I am going for Medical Coding and Insurance. The plan as of right now is to continue staying home until Emma is in 1st grade and then go back to work. I didn't want to go back into banking and always wanted to do something in the medical field. I am still
scrapbooking. I wish I had more time to do it. I really do enjoy the time I spend creating pages of our family story. I just recently realized I have a love and passion for baking. For my birthday I even received a Kitchen Aid Stand mixer and LOVE it!! I really do find any excuse to use it. I have been on a Cake Pop kick. They are just so fun to make and they actually taste so good. I guess this is how it all started. I found a blog named
Bakerella. She is the one that started the whole Cake Pop craze. I guess I am starting to find my creative side. I really want to get a sewing machine next to see what great things I can do with that. I have so many ideas in my head!
Jeremiah~ He is pretty much the same. Still working for Egan. Last year he hit the 10 year mark. I am very proud of him for being dedicated to his job. He has taken up a new hobby of playing board games. Not your fun party board games, but ones that take 4 hours to play! They are strategy games. Not my idea of fun, but friends of his like them also. They end up having game night at least once a month!
Ethan~ He has been a busy boy! He is in First grade and loving it. Learning math and how to read. He really has become a good reader. He plays as many sports as he can. Soccer, baseball, flag football, and basketball. If you ask him right now he would say his favorite one is basketball. This past summer he perfected his bike riding and swimming skills!
Emma~ She is the busiest little girl I know. Always going going going. She has a Wiggles and Giggles class that she went to for a little while. She loved all the dancing and jumping and playing that they did. In a couple of weeks she is starting a tumbling class. She is super excited for that! She is learning to count and ABC's. We started talking about preschool for her too. We think it is time for her to get out and learn what she can from others and learn how to behave in a school setting.
Family~ Jeremiah and I went on a cruise the beginning of the year. It was our first cruise. We went to the Bahamas. Best time ever! I didn't think I would have enjoyed it as much as I did. After we got back from our cruise we signed the whole family up for a membership through the community center. We love it! We take the kids swimming about twice a week. I have also started going and using the walking track and the treadmills and weight machines. There is so much to do there. Plus we get a discounted rate on activities that we sign the kids up for that are offered through the Community Center.
So that is us in a nut shell! I promise I will try harder to keep up on this post and see where it takes me!
Thanks for listening!
